Join VVCT in our mission to improve lives
We are a Telangana-based charitable trust working for the healthcare, education, and welfare of the most vulnerable communities. Every life matters to us. Every family deserves better.
There are families in Telangana today who cannot afford a doctor visit. There are children who have never sat inside a proper classroom. There are elderly men and women living alone, with no one to check on them. There are widows who work three jobs and still go to bed hungry. These are not statistics. These are real people, living a few kilometres from the city centre, in the slums and low-income settlements of Medchal-Malkajgiri District.
Vaddapally Vivekamma Charitable Trust was established in 2024 because someone decided to stop looking away. Our Founder, Smt. Vaddapally Padma, has spent years in direct contact with these communities — sitting in their homes, attending their health problems, understanding what they actually need. VVCT grew from that lived experience. It is not an organisation built in a boardroom. It is one built on the ground, by someone who has seen the suffering firsthand and refused to accept it as inevitable.
Since our establishment, we have organised free mega health camps, distributed medicines, food, clothing, and essential supplies, run awareness programmes, and worked alongside community leaders to bring services to people who would otherwise go without. We are now preparing for our most ambitious initiative yet — a comprehensive, five-year development programme that will establish a charitable hospital, school, old age home, orphan care centre, skill development centres, and a widows' pension scheme, all within Medchal-Malkajgiri District.
We do not believe in temporary relief. We believe in changing the conditions that create poverty in the first place. That is what drives everything we do.
Our Work at a Glance
VVCT works across six interconnected areas, each responding to a specific and urgent community need. In healthcare, we bring doctors, medicines, and diagnostic services directly to slum communities through free medical camps, and we are building towards establishing a full-service charitable hospital. In education, we support children who are out of school or at risk of dropping out, providing them with learning materials, academic support, and a path back into formal education. Our elderly care work focuses on those who have been abandoned or neglected — providing shelter, meals, health support, and human company. For orphaned and vulnerable children, we are building residential care centres that offer not just shelter but education, nutrition, and a genuine sense of belonging.
Our widows' support programme recognises that women who have lost their husbands often face both financial collapse and social marginalisation at the same time. Through monthly financial assistance and links to government schemes, we work to restore their stability and dignity. And through our skill development centres, we train unemployed youth and women in practical trades — tailoring, computer literacy, healthcare assistance — so that they can build sustainable livelihoods and pull themselves out of the cycle of poverty.
Alongside these core programmes, we continue to run regular food and essential item distributions, summer relief camps, hygiene and sanitation awareness drives, and community outreach to connect families with the government welfare schemes they are entitled to but often unaware of.
